In order to maintain a professional atmosphere of learning, mutual respect, and safety, while allowing for casual demonstrations of affection, students and faculty will abide by the following code on public displays of affection:
We see a difference between casual demonstrations of affection and contact of a sexual nature.
Students and faculty will be allowed to kiss someone on the cheek if there is a mutual agreement between the parties involved.
Supportive or congratulatory hugs will be allowed if there is mutual agreement between the parties involved.
We agree to certain limitations placed on physical contact and displays of a sexual nature.
The following activities specifically will not be allowed:
No kissing on lips allowed
No pelvic contact allowed, including, but not limited to, full body hugs and sitting on laps.
No touching of a sexual nature.
Consequences: Offenses will be brought to the attention of people involved. Severe or repeated offenses will warrant a meeting with students, parents, and teachers, where appropriate consequences will be decided.
